Completed and shipped!

Here is just a bit of what I have been working on for the holidays.  There is still one other dog, a Labradoodle, that I just need to add finishing touches to.  I am happy with the way all of these new pieces have turned out, and I hope the recipients are too!

Another and another AUCTION!!

I have submitted "Frenchie" into the Alki Elementary School PTA Auction.  I hope it brings in some money for the school.  It is going to be a great event!  The Las Vegas themed auction is scheduled to take place at the Hall at Fauntleroy, 5:30p-11:00p on November 12th.  If you would like to attend, tickets are $50-$75 and are on sale now.  Feel free to follow the link for more information:  http://www.seattleschools.org/schools/alki/Auction/RSVPCard.pdf

I have also donated "On Point" to an auction benefitting the United Way.  I hope to have additional information and a link posted soon.

Call of the Wild...

I have decided to post this zebra I started a week or two ago.  I loved this picture of the zebra from the cover of one of Tilly's A to Z books.  Again, it's not finished, but just thought I would share.

More pictures from this weekend...

This is a fairly "small" Mahi Mahi (well, in relation to it's actual size) I would like to finish before tomorrow evening's end.

Rob Aronson (top left), Kyle Paliotto (top right, Best of Show, voted on by his peers!), and Naomi Gray (just above) worked well under the pressure of their ever growing crowd of on-lookers.  Their quick draw pieces sold like hotcakes!  I am honored to be selling my work alongside such fantastic artists.

Saturday evening at the show...

Here is a photo of the finished painting I completed for this evening's quick draw.  This WAS completed during the hour, but started earlier in the evening.  I enjoyed painting this old wolf, and I hope whoever ended up with it enjoys looking at it!

"Quick Draw" at the Celebration of Western and Wildlife Art Show

Here is the finished piece for the Friday night quick draw.  It isn't technically a quick draw, but i finished it in the hour provided, and I had some come by and check out how I work.  It is always a great experience to paint in front of people, something I'm not used to doing.  Anyway, the pieces completed during the quick draw go into the evening auction, and yes, this beautiful black lab sold!

Finishing touches.....

Taking some time tonight and throughout the week to finish up some pieces that have been started.  Some still need painting, some just framing....let's hope I can get them done before Friday.

Friday is the first day of the Celebration of Western and Wildlife Art Show in Puyallup.  Wish me luck!

Please check back tomorrow for some more works in progress.

Issaquah Salmon Days Festival 2010

It's oh-fish-ally over!  What a weekend!  I had the opportunity to sell my art at the 2010 Salmon Days Festival in Issaquah, WA.  It was packed full of people from all over the state and beyond.  There was an estimated 170,000 visitors.  I was able to get my name out there, maybe commission a few pieces to some dog lovers, and sell some art.  In front of my booth was a swarm of excited adults, children, and pets.  All were looking, buying, laughing, and strolling along enjoying the great weather and eye-catching booths.  It was a great time, but I just wish I was able to take a quick break and look around for myself.  Thank you to all that stopped by and to those that purchased pieces for their own collections.  Please feel free to send in pictures of them hanging in your man-caves, living rooms, doctor's offices, or wherever they end up!  I would love to see them in their new homes!  Thanks again, and I hope to see you all next year!
